I would do this experience again as it felt great to help people, and I was able to meet a lot of new people.

We lived our Zeal because throughout the conference we were desiring to make god known, loved, and served

I would, because I was able to make a lot of new friends and learn a lot more about the holy cross.

I would, because I met a lot of new people and made a lot of good memories. The food was also very good!

We went to Zelma George homeless shelter to help make crafts with the kids.

During my time at St. Mary of Egypt Food Bank, I was able to assist many people in need. We started out organizing bags and goods. I was in charge of dog food. Then, we would fill shopping carts with a Thanksgiving dinner. When all this was happening a line of cars was waiting outside, about half a mile long. There were also a few people outside, and we gave them some hot chocolate. We then distributed the food and goods to everyone, which was a neat experience. Most of the people had tattered cars and the inside of them were destroyed, and I was glad I could help. After, I led a small prayer then we all went to the Greek Store.

Easily option for the poor. This charism means to show care for those who need it the most. You could tell many of the people in the line needed food, and some were very surprised when they got the food. They said things like "Is there actually bread?" or "Is this all for me?"
Would you try this service experience again? Why or why not?
I actually do this trip every year with the church, and I do it every time because it is fun and I love helping people who need it.

Right around Halloween, our church hosts a fall fest. All the older church boys can volunteer for this, and you man stations that are activities that the kids can do. I was in charge of the mini golf station. Hospitality. This charism is creating a welcoming environment. We did this by welcoming the kids as they came in and making sure they had a great time.

I would, because it was very fun. I got to meet new people and help kids have a great time before Halloween.

I think the closest theme is hospitality. We were able to be hospitable by helping the men's club and creating a welcoming environment during the Christmas season.

I would definitely do this experience again, as it was a lot of fun and it feels good to know that I helped set up the lights I see every day.

We arrived and were greeted warmly by the staff. We then were shown down a long hall and arrived in a large room, where we began to package an assortment of food. We went in a large loop, and we packaged over 1000 bags. It was an amazing experience, one that I have never done before! I will definitely do it again.
